Superstar

I just heard a busker in the Atlantic Center subway stop playing The Carpenters's Superstar. Amplified guitar, kind of loose reggae vibe, rich, soulful but not overly ornamental vocals. It took me a minute to recognize the song and reminded me of Seu Jorge covering David Bowie for The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.

I wish I'd given him a dollar.
